Session description: 

In this webinar session, Emilia Gracia will discuss her research in using Virtual Reality to teach second language pragmatics in an intensive ESL program at Arizona State University. She will share her experience using VR as a tech tool, the results from her study, and pedagogical implications for teachers who are interested in using VR in their classrooms. 

Speaker's bio: 

Emilia Gracia, aTESOL professional, instructional designer, and teacher trainer who has been in the field of Applied Linguistics since 2009. She holds two master's degrees, one in Teaching Spanish and the other in TESOL, and is currently a PhD candidate of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. She has taught EFL and trained teachers in several different countries. She has been working for ASU Global Launch since 2013 as a Senior Global Educator, and her research interests are CALL and Second-Language Pragmatics. Currently, she is serving as the Secretary of AZTESOL.
